Description: This is a double cased image of W.C. Quantrill (left) and Kate King (Quantrill) (right). The image of Quantrill was taken in 1856. The image of Kate King is dated 1861 at age 13. The journal indicates that Kate King Quantrill had the two images cased together by E.A. Baldwin in 1866. She told Baldwin at that time that she had been given the image of Quantrill on the day they first met and never returned it to him. Also that it was her favorite image of the both of them. Behind the Quantrill image is a childhood lock of Quantrill's hair wrapped in a piece of paper. On the paper is written "Willie". Gus Myers acquired the cased set years after the War.
