Description: This image is believed to have been taken about 1860. It is noted in the Gus Myers journal as "Quantrill's favorite image of himself". It is certainly one of the finest Quantrill images extant. Quantrill suffered with granulated eye lids. You can see this clearly in this image as well as in the Lydia Stone image of the same period.
