Description: This circa 1862 ambrotype image of W.C. Quantrill is from the Cantey collection. Note WCQ scratched in the image at the side. It was acquired from a Missouri guerrilla image collector who collected in the 1930-1940 period. He is now deceased. It is the only image known of Quantrill in a red guerrilla shirt.
